Can parental engagement be improved in schools?<\/strong><\/p>\n

School administrators are busy:<\/strong> The front desk is swamped.<\/p>\n

Teachers are overworked: <\/strong>There is only so much the school staff and teachers can do to help keep the parents engaged.<\/p>\n

School websites don\u2019t seem to get the parent\u2019s attention either:<\/strong> Parents are overwhelmed juggling their personal, social and professional lives with the added distractions of Facebook, Netflix, Twitter, and television to go along with while trying to keep up with the school activities.<\/p>\n

AND, school budgets are tight and getting tighter by the day:<\/strong> Where does school engagement rank in the busy parent\u2019s hierarchy of priorities?<\/p>\n

This begs the question: Should parental engagement be a school entitlement?<\/strong>
