SchoolCues (“SchoolCues,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides a school management and communication platform designed for use by schools, administrators, teachers, staff, parents, and legal guardians.
This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, share, retain, and protect personal information in connection with our website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Services”).
1. Adults-Only Platform (Strict 18+ Requirement)
SchoolCues is an adults-only platform.
The Services are intended solely for:
- School administrators and staff
- Teachers
- Parents or legal guardians
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to access or use the Services.
Individuals under the age of 18 are strictly prohibited from:
- Creating accounts
- Accessing the platform
- Using any features of the Services
We do not knowingly permit or authorize use of the Services by minors.
By accessing or using SchoolCues, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the authority to use the Services on behalf of yourself, your school, or your organization.
2. No Direct Collection from Children
SchoolCues does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Any student-related information processed within the platform:
- Is submitted only by authorized adults (schools, parents, or legal guardians)
- Is used strictly for educational and administrative purposes
- Is never collected through direct interaction with a child
3. COPPA Compliance
SchoolCues is designed to support compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
Any student information relating to a child must be provided only by:
- A parent or legal guardian
- An authorized school representative acting with appropriate authority and consent
Schools and parents are responsible for:

- Obtaining necessary consents

4. FERPA-Aligned Student Data Practices
To the extent applicable, SchoolCues processes student information in alignment with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
SchoolCues may act as a school official with a legitimate educational interest when processing student data on behalf of schools.

- Process student data only to provide the Services requested by the school
- Do not use student data for advertising or marketing
- Do not sell student personal information
Schools retain control over student records at all times.

Schools as Data Controllers
Schools determine:
- What information is collected
- Why it is collected
- How it is used
SchoolCues as Data Processor
SchoolCues:
- Processes personal information on behalf of schools
- Acts only in accordance with school instructions and applicable agreements
- Does not independently determine how student data is used
6. Information We Process
Age declaration confirmation — when you register, we record that you have confirmed you are 18 years of age or older, including the timestamp, platform, and version of the Terms accepted.
Depending on how the Services are used, SchoolCues may process the following:
School Staff and Teacher Information
- Name and contact information
- Account credentials
- Role and permission settings
Parent and Guardian Information
- Name and contact information
- Emergency contact information
- Billing and payment-related information
- Communication preferences
Student Information (Provided by Adults Only)
- Name and profile information
- Attendance records
- Academic or classroom-related records
- Forms, permissions, and school documents
- Health, allergy, or immunization information (if provided by the school or parent)
7. How We Use Information
SchoolCues uses personal information only as necessary to:
- Provide and operate the platform
- Support school administration and student information management

We do not sell student, parent, teacher, or school data.
9. International Data Transfers
SchoolCues operates and stores data on servers located in the United States.
If you are located in Canada, including the Province of Quebec, your personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different privacy laws than your jurisdiction.
By using the Services, you acknowledge and consent to the transfer of your information to the United States for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
If you are a Quebec resident, please note:

- We do not store complete credit card numbers or full payment details on our systems

Schools control student data and will manage these requests.
15. Account Restrictions and Enforcement
SchoolCues reserves the right to:
- Suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy
- Remove data submitted in violation of applicable laws
If we become aware that:
- A minor under 18 has created an account
- Data has been collected improperly
We may take immediate action, including account termination and data deletion where legally permitted.
16. No Sale of Personal Information
SchoolCues does not sell personal information of any kind, including student, parent, teacher, or school data.
17. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Continued use of the Services after updates are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
